Apocalypter cheats, trainers and mods
Store page, patch notes, Nexus Mods listing and Steam discussions checked October 27, 2026 (full game 1.0, hotfix #7 era).

Two different things get called "cheats" in Apocalypter searches, and both now have real answers: the game ships official cheat toggles in its settings menu, and it has no official mod tools — but an unofficial BepInEx scene on Nexus Mods with 38 files, including a co-op mod. Here is the honest split.

The cheats that are actually in the game
Settings → Gameplay Cheats is an official menu — not a mod, not a console command. It exists in the release build and its toggles are documented in the patch notes:
| Toggle | Effect | Added |
|---|---|---|
| Disable hunger | Removes the hunger meter's upkeep | Release build |
| Disable thirst | Removes the thirst meter's upkeep | Release build |
| Disable Sandstorm | Stops sandstorms entirely | September 30 hotfix |
The developer's own stance, repeated in the Steam discussions, is that this is for players who want the scavenging and the driving without the survival upkeep. The survival guide covers what changes when you flip them — you still need water as an engine coolant, so "thirst off" is not "water irrelevant".
What these toggles do not do: they do not give money, items, cars or upgrades, they do not unlock achievements, and they do not change enemies. If a trainer advertises "infinite money", that is not this menu.
Mods: no official framework, but a real Nexus scene
The store page still carries no Steam Workshop entry, and the developer publishes no mod tools or modding API. That part has not changed since launch, and the customization system is still the game's own sandbox — "Any kind of car part can be installed to any car, no limitations" (car customization).
What has changed is the scene around it. Nexus Mods hosts 38 Apocalypter mods in the October 27, 2026 snapshot, built on BepInEx 5 (x64) — an unofficial loader you drop into the game folder. The three that define the scene:
| Mod | What it does | Version | Total downloads |
|---|---|---|---|
| ApocalpyterMP | Co-op: one player hosts, friends join through Steam, the shared world is saved. Adds a MULTIPLAYER button to the title screen | 0.4.1 | 592 |
| ApocaGarage | Adds new engines (sold by merchants), new cars and parts that install with the normal spanner and repair box — designed so an existing save keeps working | v4 | 862 |
| Apocalypter Inspector | A debug and cheat menu on Insert: health, fuel, movement and car parts, plus free-camera style tools. Two DLLs, no game files edited, delete them and the game is stock again | 3.2.1 | 618 |
Three things to know before installing any of them:
- They are unofficial. Nothing here is made or endorsed by SawyerK Games, and no official source verifies a mod against the current build.
- Hotfixes break them. The main-game feed lists five post-release hotfix announcements through October 9; BepInEx plugins need updates when the game patches. The mod pages carry their own changelogs — read those, not a YouTube thumbnail.
- Back up your save first. The mod authors themselves stress saves in several of these descriptions; a broken plugin can corrupt a world you have played for hours.
If you want co-op specifically, ApocalpyterMP is an unofficial route — the base game is single-player, and this mod is explicitly an early build ("things will break").
Trainers and cheat engines (what the search terms point at)
Searches for Apocalypter trainer and Apocalypter cheat engine mostly point at third-party tools — external programs that attach to the game process to alter money, health or ammo. Three things worth knowing before chasing them:
- They are not made or endorsed by SawyerK Games, and no official source verifies which still work on the current hotfix build.
- Hotfixes break them. Same reason as mods: anything that hooks memory needs an update per build.
- This site does not host, link or verify them. Third-party trainers and "cheat" downloads are a routine malware vector, and nothing about this game makes them safer.
If your goal is a simpler run, the official Gameplay Cheats toggles above do most of what people want trainers for as part of the game's own settings. If you specifically want a cheat menu on a key, the Nexus Inspector is the version with a public download count, a changelog and a documented uninstall — a lower-risk bet than a random trainer site, but still unofficial.
Quick answers
Does Apocalypter have built-in cheats? Yes — Settings → Gameplay Cheats (hunger, thirst, sandstorm toggles). Official feature.
Is there a console command list? No documented console exists in the release build.
Does it support Steam Workshop mods? No Workshop entry is listed. The Nexus scene runs on BepInEx, not Steam.
Can I play Apocalypter co-op? Not in the base game — it is single-player only. The ApocalpyterMP mod on Nexus adds hosted co-op, and it is an early build.
Do I need two copies of the game for co-op? Each player needs their own copy of Apocalypter; the mod connects two installed games over Steam.
Do trainers still work after the hotfixes? Compatibility depends on the exact game and tool versions. Check the author's current changelog rather than treating a dated download table as a compatibility promise.
